Oswestry Christmas Lights Switch On

Oswestry Town Council’s ‘Christmas Lights Switch On’ is scheduled for 17^th November.

Oswestry Town Council’s Christmas Lights Switch On promises to be a special evening.

Hosted by James Bond, previously from BBC Radio Shropshire and the Town Mayor, Councillor Jay Moore, the fun starts at 4pm with performances from local schools, colleges, dance and drama groups.

Local schools have nominated a number of young students to switch the lights on.

There will be special characters, food and stalls and once the lights come on, local teenage bands The Axe Lads and Small Furry Animals will perform to finish the evening.

The lights will be switched on at around 6pm.

There may even be a special visit from Santa Claus!
