Borderland Rotary Club has organised the Oswestry Christmas Parade for as long as anyone can remember. Over the years, it has created countless memories and raised significant funds for local good causes.

Jonathan Jones, who organises the event, said:
“The parade has become a key part of the Oswestry calendar and is seen by many as the start of Christmas. However, as time goes by, the event now needs fresh input from younger groups and individuals to ensure this wonderful, locally run extravaganza can continue long into the future. If you are part of a group, or simply someone who would like to step up and support the community, why not get in touch?”

The parade means a great deal to many people. Dave Roberts from Morda shared his experience:
“I first came to the parade with my mum, dad and grandma, and last year there were four generations of us there. I still think of it as the first proper day of Christmas. It’s really important to keep it going—so I’m in. Where do I sign?”
