Oswestry Market is excited to once again be holding it’s annual Gardening and Artisan Market, taking place on the 28th May.

The event will be held on the Bailey Head, where a number of interesting plant sellers will be located plus interactive plant stands managed by the wildlife Trust and the local Allotment Group.  Not only will there by interesting plants to purchase, but also plenty of gardening advice available if needed.  Visitors will also be able to explore the excellent monthly Artisan Market where you will find fresh pork pies, cheeses, homemade fudge, delicious cakes and plenty more.

On the 4th June the annual Charity Market will take place, where local charities are invited to have a stall free of charge to raise awareness and provide expert advice on a number of important issues, or to raise much needed funds for their charity.

On the day local business Evastore, have teamed up with Oswestry Borderland Rotary to raise funds for various local community projects. This includes a plan to plant native Spring bulbs in various community spaces around Eastern Oswestry in the Autumn.  This will enhance people’s self-esteem, well-being and mental health with a multi coloured Spring flower display in public grassed areas.

The Evastore document shredding van will be alongside the Guildhall from 10.00am to 2.30pm.

For a donation of £5 (for up to 10kilos of paperwork), local people/businesses can have their paperwork/documents securely professionally shredded. All shredded documents go to Kimberley Clark to be converted into tissue paper.

The new Mayor Councillor Mark Jones will be welcoming the individual charities at 11am thanking them for their hard work.
