Oswestry u3a will be holding an Open Morning on Thursday 14th July at the Memorial Hall, Oswestry from 10.00 am to 12 noon for people to come along and find out what they do. Refreshments will be available.
Oswestry u3a is one of over 1000 branches in the UK and is a cooperative movement of people no longer in full time work, who come together to continue their educational, social and creative interests in a friendly, and informal environment. Members draw upon their knowledge and experience to teach and learn from each other.
The group have a number of activity groups covering subjects such as Travel, Art, Walking, Fine Dining, Garden Visits, Bowls, Knitting and Coffee & Chat. It’s local, social, friendly, low-cost and open to all.
Chair Pam Drewell said “We meet twice a month to hear speakers as well as having a range of interest groups. We are a friendly organisation and would welcome anyone at the open morning, on July 14th, who would like to find out more about us”
