Natasha Williams, from Oswestry, has surpassed her original fundraising target in support of Birmingham Children’s Hospital Charity, raising over £2,000—and continuing to climb—in memory of baby Hudson Harris.
Initially setting out to raise £1,000, Natasha’s efforts have more than doubled expectations, reflecting both her dedication and the powerful story behind her campaign. The fundraising initiative honours Hudson Harris, who tragically passed away on 16 June 2025, just one day after his birth.
Natasha, who has a strong history of supporting charitable causes, has previously taken part in local races, completed a skydive, and even shaved her head to raise funds for causes close to her heart. However, she describes this challenge as particularly meaningful.
Her motivation stems from the devastating series of events experienced by Hudson’s mother, Lauren, over the past year. Within just 12 months, Lauren lost her mother in June 2024, her father in August 2024, and nearly lost her daughter in the same accident that claimed her father’s life—an incident which left her daughter with life-changing disabilities. The loss of Hudson in June 2025 added further heartbreak to an already unimaginable period of grief.
Reflecting on her efforts, Natasha explained that the physical challenge she is undertaking is minor in comparison to what Lauren and her family have endured. Her fundraising aims not only to honour Hudson’s memory but also to support Birmingham Children’s Hospital and contribute towards disability support services.
Natasha’s campaign has also received generous backing from local businesses Cambrian Pharmacy and Not Dead Threads, who have stepped forward as sponsors for the event.
With donations continuing to come in, Natasha remains committed to pushing her fundraising total even higher, ensuring Hudson’s legacy helps make a difference to other children and families in need.
