A community-spirited group of knitters in Oswestry is once again lending their time and talent to support a charitable cause through their handmade creations.
The “Crafty Knitters” have been busy creating colourful miniature woolly hats for the Big Knit campaign—a national initiative run by Innocent drinks in partnership with Age UK. For every smoothie bottle sold adorned with one of these tiny hats, 30p is donated to Age UK, helping to support older people through the colder months.
This year, the group has knitted an impressive 140 hats, which will soon be delivered to the local Age UK charity shop as part of the ongoing fundraising effort.
