Oswestry teenager Abbie Dean (15) will be taking part in a 24 hour WODathon (WOD – Workout Of the Day) to raise money for two childhood cancer charities.

Abbie was inspired by six courageous people who sadly lost their lives to cancer in the last 7 years. Abbie’s nana and nanny, two Aunties, her dads’ best friend and mums’ cousins little Boy Aiden, who was only 9 years old.

Last year she successfully completed a 12-hour WODathon. and with help she was able to raise over £3,500 for two cancer charities and working with the Battle Cancer competition.

Battle Cancer is a CrossFit competition which raises money for cancer charities.

This year Abbie wanted to do something harder to hopefully raise more money and awareness for the chosen charities she has picked.  The 24-hour WODathon will take place on the 12th-13th October.

Abbie will also be doing a CrossFit raffle and local raffle.  Abbie said “I’ve had so much support from local companies already which I am truly grateful for.  I have picked a local childhood cancer charity ‘The Isabelle Lottie Foundation’ and also my cousins little boys’ charity ‘Aiden’s Funds’ which means a lot to me. If any local companies or individuals would like to donate a prize for my raffle, or kindly sponsor me please follow the link below”
