Qube’s latest exhibition is a solo show from award-winning, Oswestry Artist, Michele Coxon. With work spanning a career of over fifty years, Michele has shared an eclectic collection of mixed media sculpture, ceramics, textiles and illustration.
The exhibition features Michele’s award-winning piece “Blair Says the Countryside is Open” from 2001, made in response to the Government’s policy on the Foot and Mouth outbreak, her Coronavirus “Comfort Quilt” and a life-sized wall-mounted Horse, as well as a selection of her original book illustrations.
Heather Noble, Chair of Trustees at Qube, says “The Michele Coxon exhibition is a real feather in the cap for Qube. The breadth and quality of her work is exceptional and to have something like this in Oswestry is fantastic. From stitch work to ceramics and intricate illustrations to applique there is something for everyone in the exhibition. Well done to the Qube team for curating such a wonderful body of work.”
The exhibition is open now and will run until 29th May. For further information, please contact us on info@qube-oca.org.uk or call 01691 656882.
