Qube are looking for a talented young person (11-16) from the local community to design their new mascot.

A registered charity based in Oswestry, Qube’s aim is to improve the quality of life for people in North Shropshire and North East Powys through the provision of services such as Community Transport, a Volunteer Centre, Shopmobility and Arts and Culture. These services keep the local community engaged, help them to feel less isolated and live as independently as possible for as long as possible.

Qube would like the mascot to be an animal, preferably with an outfit, which we can use in promotional materials. It can be digital or hand-drawn. It shouldn’t be overly complicated but should be bright and eye-catching!

Gemma Manning-Bentley, Qube’s Art and Creativity Officer says: “We’re very excited to offer the opportunity to design our new mascot to the talented young people in Oswestry, we’re really looking forward to seeing what they come up with!

The deadline for submissions is 1st November 2024.

Qube will be holding an exhibition of all of the submitted work. Staff will choose their favourites, which will then be put to a public vote. The winning designer will have the opportunity to work with a local artist to refine the design. Qube will be launching the mascot in Spring 2025.

You can deliver or post your artwork to Qube Oswald Road, Oswestry SY11 1RB or email Qube’s Art and Creativity Officer, Gemma, on g.manning-bentley@qube-oca.org.uk
