Oswestry-based charity, Qube have been successful in applying to the Tesco Stronger Starts programme for their project Expression Through the Arts.
Tesco Stronger Starts supports local community projects and causes across the UK. This year, they are running a grant programme in partnership with Groundwork UK, to give children across the UK a stronger start in life.
The Expression Through the Arts project would provide a variety of arts and crafts workshops in a safe and non-judgmental space to enable young people in Oswestry to thrive, build confidence and self-worth.
Qube have a fantastic track-record of providing an inclusive creative space for young people to thrive, running a Youth Sketchbook Club in 2024 with support from the Rotary Club of Oswestry’s Mary Hignett Bequest Fund. Six local resident artists hosted Sketchbook Club sessions, sharing their skills with the young artists in a variety of techniques and styles.
To get the Expression Through the Arts project off the ground, Qube need your help. The customer vote has now commenced and will run until the end of March 2025 at the Tesco Ellesmere store.
