Qube are pleased to share their exciting new Spring Course Programme!

Building on the current programme of ongoing courses, including Life Drawing, Art History and PaintAble art classes, there are a selection of local artists joining Qube for both one-off sessions and longer-term courses.

Qube’s Art and Creativity Officer, Gemma Manning-Bentley says “We have a range of new courses, including textiles, stained glass, acrylic painting, introduction to relief printing and foundations of drawing, so we hope that we have something to appeal to everyone!”

Textile artist Kate Youens will be running a six-part Slow Stitching course over six months, where you will make a stitch journal as an on-going project.

Print-maker Molly Brown will be sharing an introduction to relief printing in four weekly sessions, including lino, woodcut, relief collagraph, and printing and framing your own work.

Artist David Bannister returns to Qube with the foundations of drawing in four weekly sessions, suitable for beginners and those who have taken a break from drawing.

Glass artist Brian Duffy will be sharing his wealth of knowledge in a one-day workshop where you will produce a stained-glass panel from design through to finished piece.

Artist Holly Hayward follows on from her successful ‘Nocturne’ acrylic paint workshop with ‘The Blank Canvas’, an afternoon session where you will fill a canvas with a favourite scene.

All courses are suitable for beginners and materials are included in the course price.

These new courses start from the middle of February, all information and booking details can be found at www.qube-oca.org.uk/courses
