Although the streets are bustling, this is nothing compared with how things will be on Friday evening and Saturday morning. The streets will be filled with shoppers and merry makers as they firstly enjoy Oswestry Christmas Live on Friday, followed by the greatly anticipated Borderland Rotary Christmas Parade at 11am on Saturday morning.
Jonathan Jones, who organises the parade said, “It’s been really busy but everything is falling into place. The response has been fantastic with lots of entries and lots of help from the hauliers who have donated the floats, the council that supply the infrastructure and support and of course the entrants! All we need now is for the public to come and enjoy themselves and just – hopefully – some good weather!”
There will be some road closures on Friday evening and Saturday morning but there’ll be plenty of parking so please plan your trip into town with this in mind. See you there!
