Mark Bishop, the Motorcycles Section Secretary for the County of Salop Steam Engine Society has announced this year’s new exhibits for the 2023 Shrewsbury Steam Rally.
Motorcycles Section Secretary, Mark said: “At this year’s Rally we will once again have an amazing spectacle of motorcycles to delight visitors. This year’s display of motorcycles will include everything from a 1955 Vincent Comet, and a 1939 Rudge Ulster to a 1931 Royal Enfield model 976cc V-twin and a 1951 Triumph Trophy TR5. This year we have a very nice 1948 BSA B31 350cc that was fully restored by its owner James Evans in memory of his late father, and will be shown at the rally in his memory.
Also attending is a superb 1923 Ariel 250cc lightweight, a 1971 BSA Rocket 3, a Suzuki RM and a Norton Commando, all as part of the 100-strong range of exhibits … so a real treat for motorbike enthusiasts!
Last year we were honoured by a visit from Former Top Gear presenter and motorcycling enthusiast, Richard Hammond (pictured) and he was amazed by the fantastic variety of classic motorcycles we had at our event”.
