RJAH Charity has been announced as the flagship charity partner for the Chirk 10K and Ellesmere 10K events in 2026, alongside organisers Adrenaline Sporting Events.

The two events, which will take place on Sunday 12 July in Chirk and Sunday 23 August in Ellesmere, are expected to attract hundreds of runners from across the region, all raising money for good causes while enjoying two of Shropshire’s best-loved running routes.

This year, RJAH Charity is encouraging supporters, local businesses, community groups and first-time runners to get involved and take on the challenge as part of Team RJAH.

The Chirk route takes runners around the scenic grounds near Chirk Castle, while the Ellesmere event passes through the countryside surrounding Ellesmere College.

Charity places are available for £15 per runner, per event, with participants asked to raise a minimum of £150 to support patients and services at The Robert Jones and Agnes Hunt Orthopaedic Hospital.

A spokesperson for RJAH Charity said:

“We’re really pleased to be part of both events in 2026. They’re fantastic community races and a great way for people to support the hospital while setting themselves a personal challenge at the same time.

“Whether someone runs regularly or has never done a 10K before, we’d love to welcome them onto Team RJAH. The money raised genuinely helps us continue supporting patients, staff and projects across the hospital.”

As well as runners, the charity is also inviting local companies to get involved through sponsorship opportunities, with bespoke packages available depending on the level of support.
