A Bridgerton Ball hosted by The Robert Jones and Agnes Hunt Orthopaedic Hospital Charity (RJAH) was a triumph of the highest order, a night of opulence and merriment that shall not soon be forgotten.
Held on Saturday 2 November within the stately walls of Sweeney Hall Hotel, esteemed guests were greeted with a welcome drink and an array of exquisite canapés, setting the tone for an evening of elegance and entertainment.
The evening commenced with a sit-down meal, after which a spirited auction and raffle infused the proceedings with delightful anticipation, wonderfully led by his Lordship David Brettell of Brettell’s Auctioneers.
Both the auction and the raffle presented a bounty of prized items and exclusive experiences, all most generously bestowed by local patrons of note.
Attendees were further enchanted by a Regency-inspired performance from the Gracechurch Historical Dancers, who brought the era’s refined charm to life, and a DJ who rounded off the evening with energetic music for all to enjoy.
Guests embraced the Bridgerton-inspired theme, with many dressed in splendid Regency-style attire, making the night a true spectacle of fashion and finery.
In a most enchanting nod to Regency elegance, RJAH Charity attended to every detail to immerse guests fully in the Bridgerton spirit. Each esteemed attendee was bestowed with a dance card, inviting them to partake in the evening’s revelries as true members of society would.
Guests had their seats marked by noble titles upon place cards, bestowing upon each guest a taste of aristocratic splendour, and were gifted with charming satchels, tokens of gratitude and mementos of this grand affair.
Victoria Sugden, Charity Director, said: “A Bridgerton Ball was truly a night to remember, filled with warmth, fun and goodwill.
“We are deeply grateful to all our sponsors; The Sweeney, Cornovii Homes, Fleet Solutions, Acacia Law, Planet Doughnut, DRE Accountants, Hobo Floral Design, TMS Events and Lanyon Bowdler – their support and contributions helped to make this evening possible.
“Thank you also to every guest who joined us – it was a privilege to see RJAH staff members and our community come together to support the work of the hospital.”
Stacey Keegan, Chief Executive Officer of RJAH was also in attendance. She said: “I’m very grateful to RJAH Charity for hosting such a remarkable event.
