Oswestry and Oswestry Cambrian Rotary joined a group of other intrepid residents at the Oswestry cemetery to assist the Councils Parks team in planting 1300 native hedging plants along one of the external fence lines. Hedging is vital for nesting birds and all sorts of bugs.

Cambrian President Robin Brown said, “The environment is now one of Rotary International’s seven “area of focus” all round the world. Rotary has always carried out environmental work but is now seen by Rotary as being so important and a vital part of Rotary work.”

The Oswestry Cambrian Rotary is ready to welcome men, women or couples of 18+ from the local community who want to be “people of action”.  We would normally meet at The Wynnstay Hotel, Church Street, Oswestry on Thursday evenings at 7.45pm but Covid regulations prevents this at the moment. For more information on what their new style of Rotary has to offer contact Mike Lade on 01691 570917, info@oswestrycambrianrc.co.uk or see www.oswestrycambrianrc.co.uk.
