A kind-hearted beauty salon owner and her team have raised over £1500 for Lingen Davies Cancer fund after being touched by friends and family fighting the disease.

Katie O’Hara, owner of Butterfly Beautique on Old Chapel Court organised a charity ‘wax-a-thon’ at the Townhouse which saw local businessmen Tom Jones from Liar Liar, Ben Knowles from the British Ironwork Centre, Ollie Jackson from the Townhouse, Nic Davies from Nicholas Llewelyn barbers and Jimmy Hayns from Evolution gym brave the pain to raise money.

Keen to put herself through a physical challenge, Katie and colleague Abbie took part in a tandem skydive.

Katie comments: “We’d like to say a massive thank you to all our clients and other businesses in the town who have supported our mission. Lingen Davies are a wonderful local charity who help so many, we’re delighted we can give something back.”
