The Shropshire Growth Hub has launched its Business Boost programme, a series of fully funded, informal drop-in sessions designed to give local businesses practical, one-to-one access to expert advice and wider Growth Hub support.
Running at locations across Shropshire over the coming months, the Business Boost sessions bring together a range of specialist advisors alongside Growth Hub staff to help businesses tackle common challenges around growth, marketing, finance, customer experience, innovation, and digital development.
Each session is designed to be flexible and accessible. Businesses can drop in for as little as 30 minutes or stay for up to two hours, speaking directly with the specially selected advisors, exploring relevant support programmes, and identifying next steps for continued support after the event.
Upcoming Business Boost sessions include:
- 10th February – Whitchurch, in collaboration with Whitchurch Town Council
- 12th March – Church Stretton
The sessions are delivered by the Shropshire Growth Hub and supported by a range of experienced advisors, including Martin Jones Marketing (MJM), who will be contributing specialist expertise as part of the wider advisory team.
Anna Sadler, at Shropshire Growth Hub, said:
“The Business Boost sessions are all about making expert business support easy to access, local, and practical. By offering flexible, drop-in events, we’re allowing businesses to get tailored advice that works around their schedules, whatever stage they’re at.”
Ruth Martin from Martin Jones Marketing added:
“Business Boost is a brilliant example of how fully funded, local support can make a real difference. These sessions help demystify business challenges and connect people with the right expertise and follow-on support through the Growth Hub.”
In addition to the Business Boost programme, the Shropshire Growth Hub is also launching its new Flaxmill Co-Working Hub in Shrewsbury to support freelancers, creatives, remote workers, and small business owners.
The Co-Work Hub will offer a co-working environment where attendees can work independently but still have the benefits of company, community and collaboration with other new and small business owners. It will provide a ‘welcoming space’ where individuals can share experiences and access informal guidance from an expert-in-residence over a coffee.
The Flaxmill Co-Working Hub will launch on 27th February, with further sessions scheduled for 25th March at 10.30-12.30 and 24th April (time TBC).
The Business Boost programme and Flaxmill Co-Working Hub form part of the Shropshire Growth Hub’s wider commitment to strengthening the local business ecosystem, supporting sustainable growth, and ensuring businesses across the county can access high-quality support close to home.
