The new home of Shropshire Polo is delighted to invite you to their first ever Shropshire Charity Cup, in aid of Hope House. Join Moor Farm Polo Club in Baschurch, a family run club at the heart of the community, on Saturday 23rd September for the perfect way to get rid of those end of Summer blues!
The day kicks off with a fun team sport; bicycle polo! A short grass tournament will begin at 11.30am Teams of four can be entered at a cost of £100.
The highlight of the day will be a Horse Polo Tournament at 2pm which will see four teams battle to become the first ever holders of the Shropshire Charity Cup. Businesses can enter a team for £250 which must include a representative from the company. The Polo Club will provide up to two players free of charge and an exciting auction will determine the final member of each team; a semi-professional player to complete the line ups.
The great Polo tradition of divot stomping will take place between chukkas with the chance for guests to win a bottle of bubbles by finding the silver cork hidden somewhere on the pitch.
The day will centre around raising monies for the children’s charity Hope House. “We are thrilled to be able to support such an amazing and vital local charity with our first ever Shropshire Charity Cup” said Polo Manager Major Will Mawby “We look forward to seeing many people here on the day to experience polo in a safe and relaxed environment whilst raising as much as we can to help the children and families who need the support of Hope House”.
Whether you are a business entering a team or you simply want to get together a group of your friends and enjoy a great day at the polo you can enjoy a delicious 3 course lunch served in the Polo Club marquee at a cost of £250 for tables of 10.
The event is free to the general public who can enjoy the day’s events from either side of the pitch whilst enjoying a public pay bar and BBQ or refreshments from the award winning Moor farm shop and tea rooms.
