Solicitor hoping staff will be ‘champing at the bit’ to sign up for 2022 charity sporting events

A local law firm with a reputation for charity fundraising through staff sporting activities has once again chosen to sponsor a series of events in and around Oswestry.

GHP Legal first sponsored Adrenaline Sporting Events in 2019, when several of the firm’s staff ran the Oswestry 10k. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic all events were cancelled in 2020 but were reinstated in 2021 when they raised a staggering £51,000 for local charities.

Currently, James Denton, a solicitor with the firm, is drumming up staff entries for the Welshpool 10k run due to take place on 27^th March 2022. This is one of nine running and cycling events scheduled for this year by Adrenaline Sporting Events, in Oswestry and beyond.

“The idea of these events is to bring together an active community of people”, says James, “for reasons ranging from fitness, competition, charity, health, fun or simply to finish. With GHP Legal’s reputation for charity fundraising, and several members of staff who are participating sport enthusiasts, it makes for a perfect sponsorship partnership.

“Each year we have participated we have increased our number of entries, so I am hoping that the recent escape from the various covid lockdown situations of the past two years will mean potential contestants for this year are champing at the bit to sign up.”
