Oswestry Life Magazine is delighted to announce the sponsors supporting local rally driver Matt Pierce as he makes his return to competitive rallying in the 2026 season. After several years away from the sport, Matt is preparing for a development year aimed at refining his car, re-establishing his competitive pace, and building momentum ahead of a full championship campaign in 2027.
Matt will be racing a modern-spec Mk2 Escort, producing around 300bhp, fully wrapped in the bold colour scheme of LA.CE Carpentry and Crane Hire, promising a striking presence at rallies across the UK and Europe. “It will look absolutely stunning – watch this space!” says Matt. Supporting his campaign as the main supporting sponsor is D Powell Plumbing & Heating, alongside KCS Trade and LJ Electrical & Security, providing a solid foundation of local business backing.
Matt will be joined for the season by long-standing co-driver and previous historic champion Jez Rogers, bringing a wealth of experience and proven rally success to the team. The pair are set to compete across England, Wales, the Isle of Man, and Belgium, showcasing Matt’s iconic Mk2 Escort, which remains a fan-favourite and media magnet, ensuring strong visibility for all sponsors.
Born and raised in Oswestry, Matt began his motorsport journey at just 13 years old and has competed at grassroots, clubman, and national levels, including the prestigious Manx National Rally. Known for his controlled yet committed driving style, Matt’s return promises exciting rally action and a high-profile platform for the businesses supporting him.
Oswestry Life Magazine will also act as official media partner for the season, providing extensive coverage through print, digital, and social media channels to highlight Matt’s journey and the brands backing him.
David Lee-Birch, Director of DTS Media Limited (Oswestry Life Magazine), said:
“We’re delighted to support Matt as he returns to rallying. His passion, skill, and connection to the local community make him a perfect ambassador for Oswestry. We look forward to showcasing his journey and the brands backing him throughout the 2026 season.”
With a focus on rebuilding pace, refining the car, and creating momentum, Matt’s 2026 season promises thrilling rally action and strong exposure for his sponsors ahead of a fully competitive championship push in 2027.
