Oswestry Charity Qube are putting out a final call for artists to enter their annual Open Art Exhibition which is taking part despite Covid19.
This popular annual event attracts artists from across the country, with entries reflecting a set theme. Anyone is eligible to enter and works can be of any medium, 2D, 3D or digital.
A £500 cash prize is awarded to the winning artist, which is decided by an independent panel of judges and there is also a People’s Choice Prize for the artist with the most public votes. The winner of this will receive their own 4 week exhibition at Qube during 2021.
The theme for 2020 is ‘Reflections‘ and full details and an entry form can be found on the Qube website www.qube-oca.org.uk by emailing art@qube-oca.org.uk or by calling 01691 656882.
Qube Arts Officer Jim Creed said ‘We felt it was important to continue with this year’s competition despite current restrictions. Just like our Creativity In Isolation exhibition, which can still be viewed on our website, we have been receiving emailed entries for this competition and once again the variety and creativity of the work has been outstanding. We hope this final call will encourage people who might be hesitating to take part to come forward and share their work’.
To take part simply email a good quality picture of your work to art@qube-oca.org.uk by Saturday 11th July.
