The Marches School has been celebrating success in the new, more challenging GCSE examinations.

Top grades are again at a high level, resulting in a record number of students being offered places in the successful Marches School Sixth Form.

Of the students who chose to take Separate Sciences, in Biology, Chemistry and Physics, 100 percent of students achieved a pass. In addition, student performance in the academic English Baccalaureate is again strong.

The Marches School is also delighted to continue to close the gap on grades between disadvantaged students and other students.

Headteacher of the Marches School, Alison Pearson commented: “We would like to pass on a big well done to the staff, parents and students who have worked incredibly hard to meet the demands of the new, more challenging GCSE qualifications. This year, with some stand out personal achievements, Sixth Form offers are up and we look forward to building on our performance in September.”

The Sixth Form at the Marches School has places available and students are encouraged to get in touch to talk through the options available. Please contact Claire Boyes to discuss or obtain an application form on 01691 664400 or via email boyes.c@mmat.co.uk. After achieving 100% pass rate at A Level this year, we invite anyone interested in attending the Sixth Form to view the facilities and meet some of our teaching staff.

The Marches School Open Evening takes place on Thursday 20th September. For further information, please contact stanley.d@mmat.co.uk
