TG Group are celebrating after their team paddled to victory at the Coracle World Championships 2025, bringing home 1st place and the Top Fundraisers Trophy in aid of Macmillan Cancer Support.
The winning team — Harry Griffiths, Olly Griffiths, James Bright, and Jay Barrow — showcased determination, teamwork, and plenty of balance to take the top spot at the popular charity event, held on the River Severn in Shrewsbury.
Since its launch in 2007, the Coracle World Championships have raised over £450,000 for Macmillan Cancer Support, helping the charity provide vital services to people affected by cancer. This year’s event once again combined fierce competition on the water with outstanding fundraising efforts on land.
Speaking after the win, Tudor Griffiths said:
“We’re absolutely delighted to come away with both the winners’ trophy and the fundraising title. None of this would have been possible without the incredible Shropshire Macmillan volunteers who make the event such a success, and the generosity of everyone who donated and cheered us on.”
