Oswestry’s popular real ale and craft beer pub, The Bailey Head has been named by CAMRA as the town’s go-to destination for real ale and cider, appearing in the Good Beer Guide 2023, its sixth consecutive appearance.
The Bailey Head has won a slew of local and national awards in the six years since it opened in March 2016 but owner Duncan Borrowman said,” Being in the Good Beer Guide means the world to us.
“It reflects the hard work we put into sourcing and serving excellent beer. It’s a really important to us, especially as it is the result of hundreds of people scoring our beers and local Camra members judging and voting for us.”
The pub has been in the Good Beer Guide for every year since it opened its doors something that co-owner Grace Goodlad commented on, “We are so proud to have achieved this. My husband Duncan works incredibly hard to make sure we consistently serve excellent real ales and craft beers, to be recognised in this way for the sixth consecutive time means the world to us, the Guide is the pubgoers bible that real ale drinkers rely on due to how it is compiled, you can’t buy a place in the Guide, you have to work for it.”
