Crowds flocked to The Berriew Show last Saturday, leading to a record attendance which is provisionally put at over 6000.
Philip Bettley from Berriew Show said, ‘The best show ever’ was the general opinion and up there with the most renown shows in the area.
“The variety of entertainment and activities made it so special including over 80 vintage vehicles, huge horse and dog shows and an exhibition pavilion with 1264 entries.
“The Mighty Smith once again captivated children and adults alike and wit h 150 trade stands and craft stalls there was something for everyone.
“The Halcyon Band rounded off the 75th birthday celebrations with a headlining set of popular covers.
“It’s a village show with a regional reach taking a big team effort, 365 days in the planning. Over 100 volunteers were involved in the week before and on the day itself.
“As one stallholder said “Everything went so smoothly and we couldn’t have asked for a better show to be part of. We will 1000% be coming next year and we can’t wait!”
And a visitor said, “I would just like to say what an absolutely amazing day we had. The whole occasion was just so beautiful”.
Phil added, “It was a day of family fun, friendship and community spirit and a fitting way to celebrate 75 years of The Berriew Show
