Tyler Jones, Manager of the Highwayman in Oswestry is holding a fundraising Bingo Night on Wednesday 30th April, 7pm to 9pm to support the new Oswestry Cancer Buddies group.
Linda Lade, Founder and group leader, is herself in remission from breast cancer and knows how important support is from others, beyond family, who are on their own cancer journey. You may be newly diagnosed, going through treatment, or in remission and it can be good to talk to others. Oswestry Cancer Buddies is for men and women and for any type of cancer. If you are in the Oswestry area and have been touched by cancer then this new group is for you.
Linda Lade said, ‘I am very grateful to Tyler and The Highwayman. The money will be used to pay expenses for speakers to come along on various aspects of the different types of cancer as well as answering questions. I am also trying to find someone who wants to practice their British Sign Language but must be Level 6 or above because I have a deaf person in the group. Please contact me if you can help.”
