A unit specifically for local people, local crafts, a space for people to join and craft together, a unit for low-income crafters to work from.
Organiser, Katie Welham said “As there are a lot of empty units in and around the Oswestry area, it’s time we fill one with vibrant crafts. It will comprise of a party room, ideal for a get together to create your own designs on t-shirts, totes bags, mugs or glasses. There will be a snug where you can come along for the day and rent equipment to help you in your crafting journey, have a look through books and resources.
“The idea behind this is to ensure crafting and hobbying is affordable and accessible for everyone. Crafting has been shown to provide a boost in confidence, great for mental health and this will provide an opportunity to try out new things.
“I’m trying desperately to raise enough via crowdfunding to ensure a year’s rent is paid upfront to ensure it is a success and enough funds are there for rental of a unit”.
