Delicious award winning Cornish pasties and sausage rolls have landed on the corner of Willow Street. Based in a shop opposite Pearl Dental Practice, Perfect Pasties is run by Liz, who’s married to Ben, both newcomers to Oswestry but having happily relocated to the area very recently.
The shop is Liz’s passion, who wanted to open the Cornish pasty coffee shop but have it including a softplay area for parents with young children. The softplay upstairs has already been a hit with lots of parents stopping by for a ‘hands free’ coffee and bite to eat.
Liz’s background is as a Level 4 Nursery Practioner, which is where the drive for the softplay area comes from. So, Liz took training before they moved here, from someone she knew who already owned a coffee shop, showing her the ropes and telling her everything she needed to know and do to deliver delicious food and coffee.
All the sausage rolls, breakfast turnovers and award winning pasties are made in Cornwall and shipped up to Oswestry, meaning you won’t get any pockets of air, they’re full of flavour and they keep you full until your next meal! What makes a real Cornish pasty? Well, the ingredients have to be sourced in Cornwall and they must also be made there. You’re also going to find a brand of ethically sourced coffee that no-one else sells in town, with a lovely smooth flavour – 100 House Coffee.
This is the only shop in town with a hot counter, meaning all the hot food is cooked on site and kept hot, and not left to cool down during the day. You’re really going to get a hot snack on demand. And if that’s not enough, Liz also sells the pasties frozen so you can always take a couple of flavours home with you for another day. So many options, where do we start!
Although the shop only opened a few months ago, they now have regulars coming back for more and even some will take up a seat and bring a laptop to get some work done.
