Mike  Lade, one of the local residents very active in the creating of the “Ukrainians in Oswestry” hub at the Guild Hall in Bailey Head, collected a trolley full of tea, coffee, sugar, biscuits and soups this week from store manager Wendy Astley at the One Stop store in Harlech Road, Oswestry.

The Hub is opening for our Ukrainian guests and their hosts as a place to chat, share stories and make new friends and is intended as a safe space where they can express emotions, to ask each other and ourselves for guidance and advice.

The Hub is in the Guild Hall in Bailey Head, Oswestry and opens on Thursday 12th May at 10.00am till 2.00pm then on Tuesdays and Thursdays weekly at those times. It will be open to Ukrainian families, individuals and hosts (at least initially) as organisers feel they will also benefit from talking to other hosts to exchange experiences and to be the initial support to the guests until they feel comfortable in the Hub.

If anyone has any questions, then please feel free to email Mike Lade on mikelade1975@gmail.com or through theirr Facebook page @UkrainiansinOswestry page.
