This past weekend the British Ironwork Centre have unveiled their beautiful sculpture outside the Royal Shrewsbury Hospital, inspired by the nation’s love for the NHS in celebration of 70 Years of the incredible NHS.
Created from a myriad of scrap and unwanted medical equipment donated from Shropshire-based hospitals, this sculpture has been lovingly handcrafted by local artist Luke Kite with the help of a number of local nurses.
This sculpture is not only a symbol of the national appreciation for the NHS, but also a wonderfully unique tale of medical history and legacy.
