An award-winning Welsh harpist will be playing music for a summer evening at a church near Ellesmere later this month.
Bethan Conway will be swapping prestigious venues such as Buckingham Palace and the Royal Festival Hall for the beautiful setting of St John the Evangelist Church at Colemere on Sunday, June 28.
The talented musician from Flintshire has performed as a soloist and with orchestras across the UK, Europe and America since gaining a first class honours degree from the Royal College of Music in 2017.
After further studies at the College, she recently graduated as a Master of Performance with Distinction.
Bethan began playing the harp when she was ten after taking up the piano, aged seven.
She is a past winner of the harp solo prize at the Royal National Eisteddfod of Wales and other top music awards.
Highlights of her career so far include performing for King Charles, making her solo debut in the USA in Washington D.C and and appearing live on America’s National Public Radio.
The Music by the Mere event at Colemere begins at 6.30pm. Admission is £10, (pay at the door), to include a light supper and wine.
