Fundraisers in Trefonen have announced plans for their annual Hill Walk.
The popular multi-activity event, which takes place over May bank holiday will raise money for local charity Severn Hospice and international charity Mercy Ships.
It all kicks off with a short, guided family walk on 19 May. 22 – 23 May follow with a drama workshop for children and adults. 24 May will be another guided family walk, followed by 10 and 16-mile walks organised for 25 May.
The 26 May will start with a Church service, followed by the Mynydd Myfyr Hill Run, a family duck race, football match and barbecue.
Event organiser Helen Francis says: “On the Bank Holiday Monday 27 May there’s a churn put at the top of the hill behind the village, Mynydd Myfyr and people can walk up a signed route any time through the day and put their donation in the churn.
“New this year is a three-day off-road mountain bike ride from Aberystwyth to Trefonen and a tug of war competition.”
