A well-established dealership group serving communities across Oswestry, Wrexham and Newtown has announced an exciting new chapter in its history with the business being recently acquired by Steve Drew.
For 46 years, Nigel Williams led Arthurs as a proudly family-run company, building a reputation founded on trust, long-standing relationships, and genuine customer care. It is Steve’s intention to continue to run the business with the same ethos.
Commenting on the acquisition, Steve said:
“When I was first introduced to Nigel and given the opportunity to become more involved with Arthur’s, I was immediately drawn to the strong reputation the business enjoys among its customers, as well as the dedication and professionalism of its team.
Having worked in the motor industry for over twenty-five years, I’ve seen how it continues to evolve every day. To now be given the opportunity to lead Arthur’s into its next chapter is something I’m genuinely excited about.
I hope to build on the legacy left by Nigel and, before him, his father, and to grow the business in a way that reflects the values we share.
Some might consider it old-fashioned, but I genuinely believe a business can care equally about its team, its customers, and its wider community and still be successful. My aim is that everything we do going forward embraces this ethos”

A few words from: Nigel Williams
“After 46 years leading the business, it has been an honour to serve so many loyal and longstanding customers. Their trust and support over the decades have been the foundation of everything we achieved. I have also been fortunate to work with an exceptional team, including many employees who have been with the business for a great number of years. Their dedication, professionalism and commitment to our customers have played a huge part in building the reputation Arthurs Motor Group enjoys today. As I hand the business over to Steve Drew, I do so with complete confidence in his leadership and in the continued success of the business under his stewardship.”
The business will continue operating across its three locations, with a renewed focus on strengthening customer relationships and supporting the local community.
Extended workshop opening hours and in particular a Saturday morning service, have already been introduced to offer greater flexibility for working families and local businesses. Commercial vehicles are particularly welcome on a Saturday.
A dedicated vehicle-sourcing service will also help customers secure the right vehicle, even if it is not currently in stock.
Steve has confirmed that maintaining Arthurs’ strong community presence remains central to the company’s future, alongside continued investment in service quality, competitive pricing, and long-term customer loyalty.
Customers are warmly invited to visit Arthurs in Oswestry, Wrexham or Newtown to experience the next phase of this trusted regional business.
