TSB in Oswestry is pleased to announce that an impressive total of £1151.36 has been raised by its Partners and local customers for Severn Hospice, the branch’s Local Charity Partner.  Since the partnership began in September 2017, the TSB branch has organised numerous fundraising events such as cake sales, raffles, book sales and various competitions.  The money raised has helped to provide specialist care to families across the region who are living with an incurable illness.

Severn Hospice is a completely independent charity (it isn’t part of the NHS) that offers free health services to people living in Shropshire, Telford, Wrekin and Mid Wales, helping over 2,800 local people every year

Alexandra Honey, Bank Manager at TSB in Oswestry, said: “Our Local Charity Partnership programme is all about working in partnership to help support the local causes that are the lifeblood of many communities across Britain.  It’s been fantastic to support Severn Hospice, which is close to our hearts here in Oswestry and everyone working here has found our partnership really rewarding.”

Mike Perry, Community Fundraising Advisor at Severn Hospice, said: “It’s been great to work in partnership with TSB.  Their support has had a really positive impact on our hospice and the work we do.

“The money we’ve raised together is being used to help us continue to provide specialist care and support to families in need.”

TSB was built to help hard-working local people and the communities they live in to thrive.  To do this, the Bank works in partnership with customers and those in the local community.  That’s why TSB’s branches across Britain are empowered to choose a local cause that matters to them, their customers and their communities instead of having a central ‘charity of the year’, which is common and typical of large organisations.  In total, TSB, its Partners and customers have donated more than £900,000 to over 480 local charities across Britain since its Local Charity Partnerships programme launched in January 2015.
