If you are aged 11 to 17 years and have a brilliant idea for an activity or project in Oswestry, now’s your chance to make it happen.
Oswestry Town Council is putting real money behind young people’s ideas with up to £1,000 up for grabs through the Oswestry Youth Forum.
Whether you’re dreaming of launching a new sports initiative, creating an arts project, organising a community event, or tackling an issue that matters to you, this is your chance to turn your idea into reality.
The Make a Change, Make a Difference fund offers grants ranging from £50 to £1,000 for projects that will benefit young people across Oswestry. No idea is too big or too small, if it makes a positive impact, the Youth Forum wants to hear about it.
The Mayor of Oswestry cllr Rosie Radford is urging young people to get their applications in: “These grants are one of the ways we’re supporting young people. If you have an exciting idea and need some funding to make it happen, please apply.”
You will need a sponsoring organisation with a bank account (like your school, college, youth club, sports club, or a community group) to support your application and handle the funds but don’t let that stop you as they will be eager to help.
Deadline for applications is 11:59pm, Sunday 8 February 2026
Download the grant guidance and application form here, then submit your completed application via email: enquiries@oswestry-tc.gov.uk or post: Corrie Davies, Oswestry Town Council, The Guildhall, Oswestry SY11 1PZ.
If you need help getting started, email Corrie: enquiries@oswestry-tc.gov.uk or Amanda: amanda@sya.org.uk.
Oswestry Youth Forum will consider each application at its meeting in February half term before reporting its decisions to Council. Grants will then be awarded.
