OsMINDS, a new free wellbeing group, launches 29th April in Oswestry. It will provide a warm welcoming environment for individuals to come together and learn wellbeing techniques to improve their mental health every Monday at 11am-1pm. It is open to all members of the community.

OsMINDS is facilitated by trauma therapist Alex River Clarke who will foster a supportive and non-judgmental environment with a focus on building an empathic community that will naturally improve the mental health of regular attendees, “social isolation is known to adversely impact mental health” says Alex “OsMINDS focuses on the interpersonal to alleviate this.”

OsMINDS is held in the innovative community space OsCAH in the heart of Oswestry and will offer a range of activities from mindfulness, self-therapy techniques, therapeutic writing and creative activities plus group discussions and guest speakers. Participants will have the opportunity to connect with each other, build meaningful relationships, skill share and establish a strong support network. “The attitude that self-care is possible in isolation is unhelpful,” says Alex “we all instinctively know that communities play a large part in keeping people well and empathic communities can change lives. Anyone with an interest in mental health is welcome at OsMINDS.”

If you are interested in joining OsMINDS call into OsCAH, 36 Bailey Street on Mondays at 11am. For more information or to become a speaker email Alex on river1clarke@gmail.com or visit www.alexriverhypnotherapy.com
