An Oswestry-based mobility repairs company is offering a unique form of transport for elderly and disabled residents.
Shropshire Mobility Repairs is now an authorised dealer of the Scooterpac Cabin Car MK2.
Andrea Marston, who started the business in 2017 after her husband suffered a stroke is dedicated to helping her customers retain their independence.
“I totally understand the importance of getting people back mobile as quite often it’s their only form of independence. We offer free courtesy scooters whilst theirs is in for service and/or repair, we offer a ‘trade in’ service when buying new or reconditioned scooters and our main focus is to work with the customer to make the process as stress free as possible.”
The new Cabin Cars are ideal for anyone with restricted mobility and who cannot drive as there is no driving license required to drive one. Capable of up to 8mph and more like a car than a traditional mobility scooter, they have a solid shell, rear parking cameras and sensors, windscreen wipers, wing mirrors, washer jets, LED lights and indicators and central locking. Inside there are two handy USB ports for installation of a sat nav or to charge a phone and a digital dash display.
The Cabin Car MK2 starts at £6,995 and has the option to add additional extras such as sports seat, air con and a rear storage box, not to mention the custom paint colours.
