The Mayor, Councillor Mark Jones, planted the first bulb last week at New Fairholme, as part of the Oswestry in Bloom Campaign to thank the key workers who carried on working throughout the Covid-19 lockdown.
On the day he helped members of the Oswestry In Bloom Committee and Oswestry School students plant over 1000 daffodil bulbs, under the keen supervision of some the New Fairholme residents
Miss Gull, Oswestry In Bloom Chairman said: “I’m hopeful that on the 2nd year anniversary we will have a beautiful display of spring flowers to thank the key workers and remember those who we lost.”
