What is the Silverpreneurs® programme?
The fully funded Silverpreneurs® programme has been created to inspire and empower the over 50’s to develop the confidence, knowledge, and skills to grow their existing or early-stage business, within an experienced and supportive business community.
Whether you’ve been made redundant, want to leave corporate life, and go it alone, re-enter the workplace after caring for family, or are seeking a new or different career path, the fully funded Silverpreneurs® programme has plenty to offer.
Delivered through a combination of in-person 1-2-1 and group coaching sessions, it’s a first-hand opportunity for participants to learn, develop and share their journey with others.
Who delivers it?
Delivered by the Silverpreneurs® co-founders and their expert team of trainers, they will share their business knowledge, experience and networks, covering topics such as strategy and planning, sales and marketing, access to finance and funding, personal heath and wellbeing and how to get the best of networking.
Where will it be held and when?
The six-week course begins on Thursday 18th January, but if you’re unable to make that date, don’t worry, you can still register for a future cohort today. The course will be held at the University Centre, Shrewsbury, Guildhall, SY3 8HQ.
Will I have to pay for it?
No – this business support is fully funded by the UK Government through the UK Shared Prosperity Fund. This is a central pillar of their Levelling Up agenda, providing £2.6 billion of funding for local investment by March 2025.
Who can apply and how?
This programme is available to business owners aged 50+ who have a business or home postcode registered in the Shropshire Council district, excluding Telford and Wrekin.
