The next World Book Day will take place in the UK and Ireland on 2nd March 2023. World Book Day’s mission is to promote reading for pleasure, offering every child and young person the opportunity to have a book of their own. This year, why not swap your voucher for a Welsh book?
World Book Day is a charity supported by the Booksellers Association and Cyngor Llyfrau Cymru/Wales Books Council, and sponsored by National Book Tokens.
Bookshops are a big part of what makes World Book Day special, and Siop Cwlwm is delighted to bring the transformative power of reading for pleasure to more children and young people.
The World Book Day £1 book tokens will be valid from Thursday 16 February – Sunday 26 March 2023. Children are encouraged to take their token to their local bookseller to:
– swap it for an exclusive and completely FREE World Book Day book; six Welsh language titles are available at Siop Cwlwm at 33 Bailey Street, Oswestry
– get £1 off any full price book
