The County of Salop Steam Engine Society have issued an invitation to people attending this year’s Shrewsbury Steam Rally to bring up to four of their own printed favourite photographs from previous Society rallies to the Opening Day at Onslow Park, Shrewsbury on Sunday 27th August.
Michael Llewellyn, Society Archivist for the rally said: “We are inviting visitors to bring their own favourite photographs to the Society’s Memorabilia Marquee (between 9am and 1pm on Sunday 27th August). Judging will take place at 2pm on 27th August. We welcome seeing photographs of the many attractions that have formed part of the Rally over many years. The photographs will be on display over the two-day family event. Additionally people can send their entries to PO Box 4706 -closing date 18th August.
The winning entries (adults only) will be judged by a panel of professional photographers from our Committee and will be awarded a prize! First Prize: £30 of Rally merchandise: Choose from Rally Polo shirts, and T-Shirts. Prize also includes a Rally Mug and an Onslow teddy bear! Second Prize: £20 of Rally merchandise: T-Shirt.
