Students at North Shropshire College (NSC) recently took part in a Festive Christmas sale at the Oswestry Campus in order to raise money for The Guide Dogs Trust. The students were given the challenge of making products for a total of £5 and then selling them to Staff, Students and Visitors, with ten percent of the profits being donated to the charity.

There was a vast selection of products on offer to buy including Festive Shaped Soap Bars, Christmas Treats including candy canes and cakes, and also a Nail Bar run by Beauty Students from NSC’s Visage Hair and Beauty Salon.

Trishna Rahman, a NSC student who took part in the Christmas sale comments, “I am really excited to have taken part in the sale this year. It has given me and other student’s invaluable experience with creating and selling our own products and also an insight into business management. I am pleased to have been able to contribute to our chosen charity with some of the proceeds from today”.
