Oswestry in Bloom winners were announced at Cabin Lane Church, where Miss Margaret Thrower and chairman of the committee Miss Betty Gull handed out the awards.
Winners include the Flower Gallery for ‘best dressed window’, The Unicorn won ‘best dressed pub’ and Queen Anne Passageway won ‘best commercial area of the town centre’. Winning schools include Oswestry School for ‘best kept school’ and Our Lady and St Oswald’s Catholic school won the ‘outstanding work by young people’ award.
