The event, which is one of the leading providers of post Sixth Form advice, will be taking place at Moreton Hall from 10am on Wednesday 7 February.
The Fair promises to be yet another success, offering a range of advice to pupils. With over 50 exhibitors in attendance, the Careers Fair is one of the largest in the region and there is something for everyone, with a mixture of Universities and Employers going to be in attendance. This includes Durham University, Cardiff University and Imperial College London as well as employers such as the British Army, BBC Radio Shropshire and HarperCollins Publishers.
There will also be seminars running throughout the morning. Old Moretonian (2018) Georgina Lang will be giving valuable insights into the Oxbridge application process whilst Phil Garner and Marcus Burnett will give insight into studying overseas.
Local schools have also been invited to join Moreton girls to understand how to kick start their career and recognise their potential. Sessions like this are invaluable to pupils, who may be undecided on their next steps or simply need further guidance on how to achieve their goals. The Careers Fairs can also open them up to consider new paths, with an ever-growing number of industries and jobs available.
Head of Careers at Moreton Hall, Catherine Ashworth commented: “We are excited to be hosting one of the largest University and Careers events in the region again this year. It is essential for students to have the opportunity to engage face-to-face with Higher Education providers and employers if they are to make the right choices for their futures. With so many academic and vocational options to choose from, thorough research at an early age is essential. The event is free and open to any Year 11, 12 and 13 students in the local area, so please take advantage of the opportunity – we would be delighted to welcome you.”
