2020 is bringing some exciting changes for Core Gym in Oswestry. Found in Enterprise House on the Mile Oak Industrial Estate, the gym provides a wide selection of cardio and weights machines, a dedicated weights area, fitness classes, showers and changing rooms.
Come January though, Core Gym are bringing their members a new functional area and some additional equipment to expand their current range and give you even more options for your sessions.
Co-owner Vicky Stevens said, “We are very excited to introduce a functional area for our members. We have been asking them what changes they would like to see within the gym, and with the functional area coming out on top, we didn’t want to disappoint. The area will include a rig designed and manufactured by ‘CORE’ and also a sled and track which will be 15 meters long with lots of other functional accessories included too.”
Plans are also underway with a new look for the current cardio room, with a shift around of equipment and a new colour scheme. Vicky told us the outside of the gym is also having a lift, which will lend itself to all the updates for the upcoming year.
The gym is also adding two functional classes a week with the current 12-month membership price of £19.95 per month (by direct debit). Personal training is also available and personalised plans tailored to suit fitness goals can be created for you. These come in the form of six-week programmes (contact the team to discuss packages and prices) and will give you the support you need.
The gym is owned and run by Vicky and husband Chris who make up the management team and who have a strong body of friendly staff members alongside them.
Vicky explained, “It’s a family run business that has been open since December 2017. We use our very own brand plate loaded equipment ‘CORE’, which we supply to gyms up and down the country. The brand is highly regarded in the market and we are pleased to say, will be featured in the world’s biggest fitness industry show in Germany! All the equipment is manufactured and designed in house, so we will always have something new to introduce in the gym and our Oswestry members will be the very first to know about it and try it before it goes out to other gyms.”
So if your new year plans include getting back in to some exercise, whether that is improving your activity levels or a body transformation, contact Core Gym for a chat about your lifestyle goals or pop in for a quick tour and to meet the team. Membership options are visible through the website and Facebook page.
Core gym is open Monday to Thursday 6am to 9.30pm, Friday 6.30am to 8pm, Saturday to Sunday 9am to 3pm.
