Moreton Hall has announced new developments scheduled for the new year following a £1M investment in the infrastructure of the school site. The investment will see work to upgrade and expand existing facilities, as well as the targeted addition of new resources across the 100 acre grounds, cementing the school’s position as one of the country’s leading girls’ boarding schools.

Not only will the work undertaken benefit current pupils and families, but also the wider community with the refurbishment of its 25 metre indoor swimming pool, which is home to local competitor swimming groups, Oswestry Otters and Chirk Dragons. Work will include painting and resealing the pool, full replacement of the walking area and a new seating area.

Duncan Murphy, Chair of Moreton Hall, commented that this substantial and long-term investment ‘shows not only commitment but foresight on the part of Moreton Hall, coming at a time when many schools are curtailing development plans, as well as during our 110th anniversary year. It is clear that this investment will bring tangible benefits to our school for many years to come.’ Arthur Su, Director of International Operations, added ‘our goal is to pursue excellence while maintaining our authenticity and unique characteristics’.

Michael Brewer, Principal said, ‘I am delighted to echo the sentiments of the board. In addition to improving outcomes for pupils, these developments will increase our scope for outreach and partnership working locally and nationally. I look forward to working with our entire community to deliver a vision fitting of our wonderful school.’
