A sack of daffodil bulbs that is. In fact, it was two sacks with 400 daffodil bulbs in each!
Katie Roberts from the Robert Jones and Agnes Hunt Orthopaedic Hospital League of Friends had the two bags of bulbs donated to them but no one to plant them. So, who does she call – Oswestry Cambrian Rotary of course.
Despite only just finishing their gruelling schedule of almost every day for nearly four weeks of Santa routes and static sites around the town and surrounding villages, Rotary members still answered the call for help and have planted the 800 bulbs in to the bank and area near the hospitals helipad. Planted a little late maybe but they will be a great show in the spring.
The Oswestry Cambrian Rotary is ready to welcome all genders and couples of 18+ from the local community who want to be “people of action”. They normally meet face-to-face at The Wynnstay Hotel, Church Street, Oswestry on Thursday evenings at 7.30pm and meet in the bar. Alternatively, you can join our meeting from anywhere via our Zoom account connection.
For more information on what their new style of Rotary has to offer contact Mike Lade on 01691 570917, info@oswestrycambrianrc.co.uk or see ww.oswestrycambrianrc.co.uk.
