The Oswestry Cambrian Rotary Sleigh and Santa are now at the end of covering the streets of Oswestry, Morda, St Martins, West Felton, Whittington, Park Hall and a number of static sites.
President Robin Brown said, “It has been a difficult year for all of us but we, as a Rotary club, felt we needed to try our best to bring back the smiles to the faces of the young and not so young folk of our town. It was not so much about raising money this year that previously has been feed back into the community and lots of different ways.
But that said, people have been so generous and have indeed put money into our buckets. Not as much as last year of course but we are very please to say we will still be able to help local clubs ang groups as before but in a small way.”
This year Santa and his Sleigh drove the usual routes so that children could still wave at Santa from the road edge, gate or window but still let everyone see Santa at supermarket static sites. No door-to-door collections.
They also had a Zoom Santa on two evenings so children could chat with Santa at his North Pole Workshop.
If you still wish to make a donation, this year thry have a 70085 Santa text number for people to be able to donate to the Santa collection. Please see the details in the associated picture.
Thank you Oswestry and we will see you next year……
