Oswestry Film Society’s new season starts on May 7th and features some of the most critically acclaimed films of the last few years, plus a special screening to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the moon landing.
The Society shows films on the first and third Tuesday of each month, starting with Gemma Arterton and Dominic Cooper in The Escape on Tuesday May 7th.
Michael Hudson from the society said
“Our new season has small scale British dramas with big names, a Danish thriller that wowed audiences last year and some fantastic comedy to warm your heart.
We’re screening last years’s arthouse hit, Disobedience, with Rachel Weisz and Rachel McAdams in a tale of forbidden love in a strict religious sect, race relations drama Monsters and Men, crowd pleasing mainstream comedy, Game Night, and the Australian comedy, The Dish, telling a different story of the moon landings. The season finishes on August 20th with Waitress, the film that inspired the musical currently wowing audiences in the West End.
A season ticket covering all 8 films is available for just £24 and on the door tickets are available at £7 per film.
